Pros

- Talented people, specially at junior levels - Very interesting projects overall - Work flexibility, e.g. working from home, specially at senior levels - Switzerland is a great country to live in

Cons

- Long hours and very low salary compare to other consulting firms, even 2nd or 3rd tier companies - Bonus scheme is a joke and the company management will go to great lengths to justify not paying full bonuses, e.g. changing the way it is calculated on a yearly basis...all that while CEO compensation is plain outrageous at +$20M/year - Upper management has been too long in the company and have forgotten what innovation, company culture, or people development is: often times good ideas but zero clues or direction on how to implement them. It is embarrassing to hear them talk knowing that nothing will actually happen - Lack of proper training and people development plan compare to to other firms. Improvements have been made but a few online trainings are not enough to properly form juniors and new joiners - No fast track or career advancement for top performers: the firm is a mediocracy where good people (at senior levels) will always be looked at dismissively by the mediocre people (large majority), which constantly try to undermine or diminish the merits of the others, e.g., looking for trifling excuses to not to promote top performers - Very high turnover, probably as consequence of the points aforementioned: good people tend to leave and not-so-good people remain cause they are not good enough to find better jobs: this only perpetuates the non-meritocratic system and you end-up with managers that have been for many years in the company and have zero will to change the system or improve

Pros

I can't see no positive sides currently in working in IQVIA

Cons

The CRO has disinvested so much in local offices to the advantage of centralized units located in low income countries around the world. Local RSUs are becoming messy, chaotic and highly desprepectful environments where you are only requested to work hard with no support, no training, no appreciation. I have wondered sometimes if this is a strategy to have you leave the company. Who might know?

Pros

The salary and benefits compensation is competitive. I have had a positive experience with the colleagues on my team and that I work with regularly.

Cons

There is no diversity and inclusion initiative and the company has been resistant to efforts to develop one. There is no diversity and inclusion professional in the HR department and no required training for managers and HR. Through my own experience and those shared with me by colleagues, I know that HR has a track record for failing to appropriately respond to employee concerns related to bias and discrimination. Employees of color fear retaliation for speaking up about bias and discrimination. This concern has been brought to the attention of executive leadership and no action has been taken yet. There is also a history of failing to promote/pay qualified employees of color. As part of the re-organization of the company post-merger, huge cuts were made to employee programs like wellness. It has become obvious that the company currently values profit over their own people.
