Pros

Pay is good; work from home opportunities

Cons

Work never ends, always seem short staffed when it is crunch time. Company keeps growing and growing; keep feeling like another brick in the wall.... IMS keeps lining up new "bolt on" acquisition companies (and now the Quintiles Merger); the company feels too big now. Not enough desks for everyone in Plymouth Meeting

Pros

Great stepping stone into pharmaceutical industry Decent benefits Mileage reimbursement is great Autonomy; able to work from home which allows for family time

Cons

Beware workers comp process; you will be branded an outcast You are contracted to work for other companies and Quintiles gets paid very well but they are tightfisted in compensating you when you're traveling a significant amount While you're working for 2 companies, you're expected to jump through hoops but no one person can tell you what is going on at any given time because the communication between Quintiles and the other company isn't there Problems don't get fixed, just swept under the rug They took away our mileage and gave gas cards as the price of gas started dropping; now when you put 1000 miles a week on your personal vehicle you don't get compensated for it Once your contract ends you may or may not get placed on another project; if you have bills, you need a consistent job TOO MANY CONS TO LIST!!!!

Pros

Excellent benefits. Practically guaranteed time off when requested. Work from home opportunities. Opportunities to work in different fields.

Cons

Talent pool is dwindling due to shipping certain jobs overseas to comply with business rule of getting investors as much profit as possible. Too much bureaucracy. New hires are green. "Who you know" mentality for moving up, instead of basing it on merit. Mainly metrics driven without realistic timelines for completion. Unrealistic budget expectations.
