Pros

Decent pay, open PTO, good snacks/food, I’ve met some lifelong friends

Cons

This was a great place when I first started and would have recommended to anyone. We had new management that started a few months ago who is basically echoing every thing that is coming out of the terrible leadership from NYC office. In the last year, 9/10 directors that I started with have left. This is not taken into account the countless reps that have also left. They don’t want people that will ask questions or bring up valid points, they are only looking at “yes-men/women”. They talk about career growth and progression but passed up on promoting anyone from the whole office to the next team lead position. 70-80% of the office is on some sort of plan currently. They say they want everyone to be here but don’t offer any assistance or help for the reps on these plans. They prioritize admin work and having the optics of doing good work instead of doing good work. If you want to be a robot and not express any opinions of your own, you should work here. Otherwise, run.

Thanks for leaving a review of your work experience in our Scottsdale office. We’ve read a number of reviews from Account Executives based in Scottsdale and have escalated them to the Sales Leadership team as low morale is not conducive to a growing sales team. We encourage you to hold us accountable by leaving a follow-up review if things are changing for the better or if you are still seeing the same issues as before. Only with feedback such as yours can we continue to improve. If you have any additional feedback that you would like to share in complete confidence, please send us an email as inside@indeed.com and we will pass it along to the HRBPs and Sales Leadership.

Pros

Benefits, PTO (if your director approves it), Happy hours

Cons

The Sales organization is extremely toxic. Indeed's HR communication is all about diversity and inclusion, but the sales organization is extremely fraternal. It is mostly white men in their 20s in Inside Sales. If you want to grow anywhere in the Sales Org, it is fully determined by your willingness to suck up to the Senior Director. It is very, very, stressful and the goals are almost always unrealistic with most of the org missing their targets. Upper management does not hire good PEOPLE managers, they hire based on who was able to work their book the best way which is often time based around luck. The new managers lack interpersonal management skills.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review about your time working at Indeed in New York. We care deeply about our employee’s experience with us and its disappointing to hear that you did not feel like you experienced the great culture we pride ourselves on. We want everyone at Indeed to feel like they belong and are absolutely committed to fostering an environment where diversity, inclusion and belonging is valued and leveraged. We are excited that we have established external partnerships with organizations that help us identify rich diverse talent. However from your feedback, we still have some way to go on our inclusion journey, and always welcome further conversations around this. If you would like to speak further to us about your review please reach out to us on inside@indeed.com

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your work experience in our Toronto office. While every experience will vary, we’re disappointed to read that your time at Indeed was less than positive. The Indeed Sales team is high achieving, and as we continue to grow our revenue, quotas are adjusted as needed each quarter to reflect the labor market. The goals are attainable but still considered challenging for our AE's to continue to learn and grow in the role. Once total compensation (salary, benefits, bonuses, LTIPs) is factored, Indeed salaries are quite competitive. Top performers are also handsomely rewarded with trips to recognize their success, making working for the Sales team very lucrative. Our Open PTO policy allows Indeedians the flexibility to take time off as they need it to recharge and come back to work refreshed. That said, a combination of completing work and communication and trust with your line manager is needed to fully take advantage of the Open PTO that Indeed offers. As we continue to grow and evolve as a company, we want our employees to have opportunities to do the same. There are endless ways for Indeedians to gain different experiences and take on new challenges within roles, within teams, and within the company. Internal mobility is something we’re really passionate about and we want all of our employee’s next role to be with Indeed. If you have any additional feedback to provide regarding management or HR, we encourage you to send a confidential email to inside@indeed.com so we can review and address any issues if needed.
