If you want to work for an organisation where micromanagement is at an all time high then this place is for you! If you want to be bullied and continually made to feel incompetent then apply now! The Sydney office used to be a fantastic place to work. People were rewarded for hard work ethic and were driven to deliver outstanding results. Indeed globally decided to make a change and unfortunately it has come back to haunt them. Top performers have moved on as they could see the writing was on the wall. Originally i was reluctant to write a review however reading some reviews lately (which have been quite clearly been written by senior management - trust me I know) potential candidates need to know that this place is rotting at the core. It starts at the top with a sales leader who is clueless, rude and arrogant (plus thinks it’s okay to swear at new hires) coupled with a HR team who are “yes” people and keep a blind eye to everything that is wrong with this organisation. Reading recent posts saying there is a buzz is in the office is laughable. The only buzz in the office is buzz kill and as mentioned is from the leaders above. This isn’t a good place to work nor will you see any sort of progression. If you want your sales career to stall and watch as Seek continually dominate the market then this place is definitely where you want to be. Senior Management, HR and Marketing are all rudderless and watching the world crumble around them and with attrition at an all time, they have no idea how to fix it (besides write positive posts on Glassdoor who are Owned by Indeed mind you). If you really are that desperate for a job then be my guest otherwise stay well well clear of this incompetent organisation

Thank you for your review, we would like to address that bullying is not something we tolerate from anyone in our organisation. We hope that our current employees will reach out to their team members if they witness such behavior, so we can address it immediately. Glassdoor and Indeed operate as two completely independent companies and, as such, any review received undergoes the same quality check by Glassdoor as any other company. We ask employees to give us their honest feedback about working for Indeed internally and externally on review sites like Glassdoor. This way we can monitor all the feedback we’re receiving and create actions plans between HR and our leadership team. We are listening and acting on all the feedback we receive across our external and internal feedback channels, so we appreciate the time you have taken to give us this. If you have any more concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly at inside@indeed.com.

Cons

If you want a soul-less job, then this is the perfect place for you. Once upon a time, Indeed was a great place to work, then it went downhill in the past year. Here are the reasons why: 1. You work so hard to get in big deals across the line, only for the model itself to not allow you to reap the rewards. 2. Commission, forget it - you work hard to walk away with peanuts 3. The culture of the office is in shambles, no music, no talking to each other, if you are in the kitchen making tea for more than 2 minutes, you will get questioned 4. Incentives are fun but not when you land a big deal and your reward is to high-five your team mates 5. No leadership from management 6. Senior leaders that swear at reps and use vile language, don't get reprimanded 7. A lot of school yard bullying 8. HR want you to address thing with them.. they probably only want to do that so they can gage what head count they need for all the unhappy reps that are thinking of leaving. The list goes on.... One thing is for sure, you will make the business money, but in the end you won't get rewarded. If you feel like free food and health care is for you, then by all means, this job is for you. But if you want a career and make your mark, then consider looking elsewhere as you are just going to waste your time. Those that have left are in more successful roles, doing what they love and killing it. You can build up resilience by working here. The positive reviews on here are not true at all. I read them and the only people that talk that way are managers trying to salvage what is left of the place. A lot of the negative reviews are deleted as Glassdoor is a sister company of Indeed. The negative reviews were addressed by the senior leadership team and they said that they are not inacturate. Think about it, why would someone bother to write a negative review unless there was truth to it.

Thank you for sharing your review. As mentioned in a previous response, Glassdoor and Indeed operate as two completely independent companies and, as such, any review received undergoes the same quality check by Glassdoor as any other company. We would like to address that bullying is not something we tolerate from anyone in our organisation. We hope that our current employees will reach out to their team members if they witness such behavior, so we can address it immediately. We have several internal feedback channels for employees to get in touch, if they do not feel comfortable speaking to a team member in person. Feedback is very important for us, especially in a growing team, as they help us make sure employees have a way to share their concerns and suggestions with us, and we take everything we receive seriously. Thanks again for sharing your review. Please email us at inside@indeed.com if you would like to have a confidential conversation to share more information.
