Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review about your time in Marketing for Indeed. We’re really proud as a business to be able to offer our employees unlimited PTO, flexibility and a wealth of perks. There are endless ways for employees to gain different experiences and we try to do all that we can to make the internal move process as simple as possible. We’re sorry to hear that you did not feel this was the case. As we continue to grow and evolve as a company, we want our employees to have opportunities to do the same. Career advancement at Indeed is something we’re really passionate about. We actively encourage employees to have ongoing conversations with their managers about their career growth. Our internal employee development page offers different career planning toolkits to help guide career conversations and explore future opportunities. We’ve also just launched our internal career pathing tool ‘M.A.D.E. #insideindeed’, which is focused on fostering continuous creative thinking during an Indeedian’s career path. It’s very tough for us to hear that you experienced a toxic environment and bad leadership, as this is definitely not the type of feedback we want to hear. We try to hire authentic and inspiring leaders who support of employees to be the best version of themselves at work. As with most businesses (and people) we’re not perfect and do get things wrong now and again, so we appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Free Food. That’s about it.

Cons

This job is a joke. It might seem good to someone new in the industry but this company is managed by immature sales people who got promoted because they have good numbers but have no idea how to run a team. They basically work you to death till they spit you out to hire some other young person who doesn’t know what they are doing. Oh and unlimited PTO is a joke too. It is not. It is basically just an out so they don’t have to pay you PTO when you leave. And will only approve your PTO if you are a favorite, so unless you suck up, don’t count on it. THEY ARE CHEAP! Oh and here is a big secret. Don’t put your two weeks notice in until the day you want to leave. They ask you to leave that day, with 2 weeks pay, which is nice. But if you leave before the quarter is over you WILL NOT RECIEVE ANY OF YOUR BONUS!!!! Not one cent! I saw someone put in their notice be sent home that day, end of quarter was 1 week away and they did not pay bonus because they wouldn’t let him stay to complete the quarter!! BEWARE OF THEM STEALING YOUR COMMISSION!!!!!!

We appreciate the time you have taken to leave us a review about your experience working at Indeed. As a current employee, it’s alarming for us to hear that you have such a negative opinion about your job. We’d like to comment on a few of the things you have mentioned in your review. We can assure you that we regularly review and update Company Guidelines. These are available to all employees at all times via our HR Information System. If there is something specific you want to know more about regarding our guidelines then please reach out to your manager in the first instance. While we can’t speak to your specific circumstances, bonuses at Indeed are discretionary and paid consistently with state and federal guidelines. Packages are outlined in all offers of employment, and commissions are paid monthly based on payments received while employed at Indeed. All commission eligible employees can track and have transparent visibility to the payments they receive and therefore commission earned and what gets paid to them. Open PTO (Paid Time Off) is a benefit for everyone and we want employees to make sure they take time off to relax and recharge, If you’re having recurring issues discussing PTO approval with your manager, please reach out to your HR business partner, or use the email address below. We take feedback from our employees extremely seriously and would ask that you speak to your local HR Business Partner or email us at inside@indeed.com so we can talk further about your experience.

Pros

They'll feed you. Not much else.

Cons

This is true of any employer, but especially Indeed: don't trust HR. They don't have your best interests at heart. Unlimited PTO sounds good, but all it really means is that when you leave, Indeed doesn't have to pay out the PTO hours that they owe you. I know that's just business, but they make it sound like such a gift.

Thank you for leaving us a review about your time at Indeed. We think the free food and snacks we provide our people are vital to their happiness and wellbeing in work. But we agree that it takes more than perks to make a successful career. It takes work and life balance. The open PTO (Paid Time Off) is intended to be used by everyone. We want employees to take off as much time on holiday as they need, as long as they are hitting their targets and have manager approval. It’s a benefit that we offer all of our employees on top of the standard 25 days leave, in countries where there are standard leave regulations, Indeed pays out unused time Our HR teams are there to support our employees and care about what they care about. They partner with our Centers of Excellence to guide and provide the tools they need develop their careers with us. We’d love to discuss your feedback further on this point so please contact us at inside@indeed.com
