Cons

Please take notice that all the positive reviews for indeed is for departments other then sales. Also please go on indeed.com and check out the reviews on indeed. The sales department is literally running out of people to sell to. I have been with this company for awhile and management refuses to address it as a issue. The sales department is on track to double by the end of the year. This sounds great but over the past year the percentage of sales reps who do not hit their quotas is growing at a alarming right. For this past quarter, 46% of sales reps did not hit 90% of their quota = no bonus. Current sales reps who see this....do the math yourself. There is no lead generation team for Indeed. Zero, zip...nada. Sales reps do it 100% of the time. This has lead to most of the work force calling fake numbers all day to hit this required 60 call minimum. Management doesn't bring it up because they know that you can't generate enough prospects to call 60 individual companies per day. They won't admit it though. Be aware of the recruiters. I have spoken with other sales reps and it is confirmed that they say false statements to get you on board. It's because they have to. I even over heard one recruiter laughing and making jokes on if they didn't bend the truth, then they wouldn't be able to do their job. Summary: Indeed is experiencing a over saturation of their sales territories. But they don't mind because the decision makers on top are still making money. Why would they change? Do not go into to the sales department and find a company that has stronger foundation for its sales reps.

Cons

If you are looking to go into sales for Indeed run. The other departments like client services, small business and account management are fine. The training for sales is a joke. You are sent to Connecticut for a week and are taught by a trainer who openly admitted they have never sold in their life. Then your first week you need to find 75-100 prospects. This is extremely hard to do and when you do all you have is crap prospects with a very low job volume. 2nd week you are expected to make 30 calls per day. 3rd week is ridiculous, you are expected to make 60 calls per day. It is good the first day or two but by the 3rd you have run out of people to call....and then it continues tell people quite or are let fired and you inherit a small portion of their prospects. In the sales department there are very little prospects to go around....leading to quotas not being hit. The turnover has increased dramatically and management has little to no experience to direct you. Also... Beware of the recruiters, they will say almost anything to get you on board but in reality you are just another dollar in their pockets. To sum it up INDEED is a place where salesman go to die. Under paid, not enough prospects and not enough experienced managers. Free beer though...
