Thanks for leaving us feedback about working at Indeed in Toronto. We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback with us. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed our perks such as Open PTO, and quarterly bonuses during your time working at Indeed. As we continue to grow and evolve as a company, we want our employees to have opportunities to do the same. Which is why we encourage weekly 1:1 manager check-ins to ensure our Indeedians are fully supported, as well as on track to hit their quarterly and professional goals. We care deeply about our employee’s experience and won’t tolerate a negative work environment that could lead to poor employee morale. At Indeed we champion a culture that values honest and transparent communication, with quarterly feedback and management effectiveness surveys. You can rest assured that our managers are held accountable in our business to their leadership roles and we continuously monitor that through engagement surveys and manager performance reviews. While posting on Glassdoor is one avenue to make your voice heard, we also invite any current employee that is facing problems to reach out to your HRBP so they are aware and can provide feedback upwards as well. If you have any additional feedback you would like to share, we invite you to email us at inside@indeed.com for a confidential conversation on how we can continue to improve.

Pros

Good perks, some great teams (direct sales teams, marketing, hr and IT) nice office

Cons

Middle management (outside of direct sales), particularly those linked to sales daily function are very poor. A lot come from well known corporate tech companies and have a school teacher approach. Promotions are rare, demotions are common. Up to roughly 2 years ago company was booming, but big changes in Senior Management and hiring of extremely young inside sales reps, changed the dynamic completely. Massively relient on minimum wage type jobs for site, mid to Senior jobs do not perform well on site, at all. Warehouse workers, HC assistants etc are reason for volume of monthly visit numbers. Missed big chances to develop into a game changing company, other companies, new software and Covid will have really significant repercussions for the business
