Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your work experience in our Toronto office. We read all reviews and are disheartened to read that you felt that the Indeed workplace was not inclusive. Our perks such as lunches, snacks/drinks and of course the Open PTO are in place to provide employees with the resources they need to effectively work throughout the day, but mean very little if the work environment itself is not inclusive. We are deeply committed to creating a workplace and global community where inclusion is not only valued, but prioritized. To that end, our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging team and our Inclusion Resource Groups (IRGs) are available to all Indeedians to support broader discussions on challenges and solutions that people may face while in the office. We also offer courses on topics such as Unconscious Bias, Emotional Intelligence, and Ally Skills to help ensure our employees are trained on how to create an inclusive culture at Indeed. Most recently, Inclusion and Belonging were embedded as company values, so we expect to see an even deeper focus on these topics over the coming year. Pay is competitive, once you factor the total compensation including quarterly bonuses and LTIPs that are provided to all full-time employees. FT employees also have access to a generous Learning & Development budget, along with a variety of internal L&D classes. If you have any additional feedback regarding your experience of a non-inclusive nature, please do send us a confidential email to inside@indeed.com so we can review the situation.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review about working at Indeed. We’re really proud to be able to offer our employees a flexible holiday policy and a number of other great perks. We’ve made some changes in the Dublin office with our happy hours to bring them in line with the rest of the business where they happen monthly rather than weekly. We’re sorry to hear that this has not been communicated consistently. Our managers are held accountable in our business to their leadership roles and we continuously monitor that through engagement surveys and manager performance reviews. It sounds like we do have some improvements to make and we appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Good work balance on some teams Unlimited PTO

Cons

Some team managers are bullies. Watch out SMB and specifically the employer mobile product team. Constant scolding and unpredictable shifts in behaviors and mood swings. People are yelled at for no factual reasons; some on promotion paths are let go in a matter of a few weeks. On a company level, it doesn’t seem people genuinely feel proud of their products or care about their users. Decisions are made top down and are driven by mostly leadership’s preferences.

Hi there. Thank you for leaving us a review about working at Indeed. Bullying and intimidation are all very serious allegations which we will look into internally. We do not tolerate or encourage such behaviour at Indeed, and strongly believe our leaders should never put employees in uncomfortable and disrespectful situations. We would love to speak to you further about this and gain some more insight so please reach out to your HR Business Partner, Brian Vogel.
