Pros

This company does give you the chance to work for various businesses throughout the country if you so desire. They also give you the opportunity to move yourself around in the company to different projects by simply reaching out to other client managers, giving you the opportunity to find your place in your field of expertise. Really when it comes to the pros of this company, is based on your personal preferences. If you like or desire to work for a company for years, moving up the corporate bracket based on the time you work their, this is for you. If you like working excessive numbers of hours focusing your life only on work, this is for you. If you enjoy not being tied down working for various different companies as a contractor, this is for you. Other than that there really isn't many other pros for this company, they have decent policies and benefits, they pay most to all relocations costs if they are needed, and they desire you to learn and be the best you can be.

Cons

You work as a contractor that gets underpaid and underappreciated especially for the amount of work you do by both the company you are contracted by and Infosys themselves. There is also the flip side, sometimes you get paid to do basically nothing feeling very unproductive and a waste of your developing skills, its a role of the dice in many ways for what position you will end up obtaining and what you will end up doing. This company is from India, the issue isn't where they are from, it is their work ethics/values that they encourage or rather expect (require) you to fulfil; They don't out right say it as it is illegal, but they encourage you to do work off the clock for no compensation. Basically if there's work to be done then they expect you to take every waking moment to accomplish it. It doesn't matter how hard or well you work for them, it really only matters how long you have worked for them, you are not rewarded for your success or skills. Any accomplishments you make can give you recognition and can help you move up in their corporate ladder a little bit faster, but more than likely anything you do will not. Your accomplishments really just help the management above you get raises especially for your efforts on outstanding desired projects by the client. If I was to give a percentage of what Infosys really cares about, I would give 50% to the bottom line ($), 49% to what their clients think of them and their contractors, 1% to their employees.

Pros

NONE. Zilch. Nada. Zero. Can’t think of anything positive

Cons

If you’re seeing positive reviews, they’re most likely paid reviews because this company is the most disingenuous company I’ve had the displeasure to be apart. Entry level analysts are placed into two months of training without doing actual work, then placed into streams where you can’t find any work either. These people will find any and everything to try and lay you off over without providing actual help to let you grow or learn within the company. They only care about the Indians. If you’re a different race, they’ll find shady ways to get rid of you. Managers that don’t do a thing and if you complain that you feel you aren’t learning anything or standing up for yourself because you want to advance your career, they’ll fire you. They’ll ask you to relocate to locations without any assistance or any real projects in the area. Imagine if most of your entry level employees want to leave within 6 months, what should that say about the company? Pay level is entirely disrespectful and you can’t negotiate because it is a “fixed package”. It took about a month for me to find out my technical stream after everyone else got theirs and I had to call about 10 different people. I’ve had my managers switched without ever having to meet any of them. Even to get a hold of them is a joke. I took 3 days of my PTO, they wanted to get rid of me right after. They want you to work OT without any compensation because they’re used to cowards that don’t know any better. If someone told me the negative reviews before I came, I would have never left my life to move to a place with crime in the midst of a city that has companies leaving the state taking jobs with them. This company is a curse. Avoid it please!

Pros

Stagnation aka job security. Excellent on the job training in Microsoft office. You get to know how slaves felt back in the day. Managers can use their position to practice on becoming a dictator.

Cons

They are the worst company to work for. Do not believe any of the LinkedIn adverts and posts by them about work life balance and such. They blatantly violate labour laws in the countries they operate in. They mistreat their employees in favour of project margins. The negative reviews in this site are a testimony to the narcissistic crazies who have run the company.
