Pros

Salary paid on time Nice location (Canary Wharf)

Cons

Unfortunately, the company has an intense bench period, taking several months to get on a project. Some of my colleagues have been on the bench for 2+ years, and no one truly cares about placing them on projects. They pretend to be interested in giving you tasks; at times, you'll receive emails and calls about project availability, but nothing happens in the end. Keep this in mind if you receive an offer from this company as a graduate. The first three months were spent on Java training, someone from India came to give us training, and you'll have to pass some tests (java basics and advanced java). After that, we were left with no clear direction, so giving those tests doesn't make any difference. Your manager will be based in India and won't be interested in your career growth. They expect you to spend time self-learning on their learning platform. It might sound fun getting paid for nothing, but it's more dangerous than what you think. You'll end up stuck in the company and gaining no real-world experience. Should you join the company? If you do receive an offer, accept it but keep on looking for something better. You have to be 100% proactive and self-disciplined. If you're not placed on a project six months after the initial training, look for something else. If you're lucky enough to get on a project, still look for something better once it's finished. If you sit comfortably, it can harm your career. Other cons: Slow salary growth Bureaucratic Lack of team spirit and company culture The constant change of management The company provides inefficient laptops Benefits are very basic.

Pros

medical claims and quaterly bonus

Cons

I work as a development role in Infosys HK office. Overall comments: no career path at all, verbally promised annual leaves cancelled, poorly organised, lack of communication. The company is lead by native Indians from India and they simply don't have basic respect to local HK staff, they ask you to do things out of your respopnsibilities, such as interviewing infosys candidates, billing, invoiceing, even when you're deployed to work in client site. The indians are arrogant and usually does not give you any response even you whatsapp him to asdk important questions such as updates of new client projects, start date of client work, etc. Their communication is one way, that means they contact you unless they want, otherwise, they by default does not give you any response even you ask them. They puttheir Indian styles in HK office which are totally a failure! Everything super slow, so called background check is stupidly dopne by Indians in India (no idea how could they do checking for HK related information) and it could last for 2 months or more.

Pros

I was paid to sit on my butt for 2 months before starting at client.

Cons

Accrued no PTO Wasn't allowed bereavement leave without proof Was forced into some support role when I have a developer background and had no idea what I was doing Gave me broken laptop(cracked and bad hard drive), waited for a month for replacement laptop... was given a replacement hard drive without the hardware to put it in. Tells them Im having life threatening surgery but that they gave me no PTO, they said they'll give me that day and said I can work remotely from my hospital room.
