Pros

Pay was regular, for the most part. I practically got to set my own hours. My employer outsourced to Infosys under the condition they hired the existing teams; I gave them a year before resigning. Company would probably be okay for someone needing a year or two of experience to put on a resume, if they're desperate.

Cons

Company is a bureaucratic nightmare. HR issues/requests take months to get a response, and that's only if you've submitted the proper forms in multiple locations. There is zero feedback from management, which is a revolving door of hapless project leads that only know how to discuss plans and plan discussions. There is so much internal email spam that it's hard to distinguish anything of relevance. By far, the most unorganized company I've ever worked for. I wouldn't go back for double my salary.

Pros

Variety of industries you can work on

Cons

- I was hired for a design role, and when I got the contract, it was turned to a "business analyst role" - I'm not the only person this has happened to - I worked a tech heavy job and the computer was sooo slow, i had to wake up 30-50 min early to just turn it on before a meeting - Every single process to get anything done (download programs to do your job, submit required goals, request reimbursement, create employee onboarding profiles, etc.) were so long, slow, and complicated - There are many employee ERGs but when you actually want to make change or solidarity, there's alot of internal pushback and it's all about optics - Low compensation, and found out I was paid 10k less than someone who was straight out of college, and I had 2.5 years of experience - There's a mentorship program, but it's also mostly optics - You get thrown in and hardly any direction - Everyone knows how bad the processes and systems are; and it's just an on-going joke internally even with people who have been there for years - It's very unclear who your direct report is, there's no appropriate channel for flagging anything I'm sure it's a great company for higher roles, but if you're going as entry level or analyst level, you'll last maybe a year before you realize they don't respect you

Pros

You get a paycheck and they offer WFH in USA

Cons

They staff projects at the last possible moment with green developers who are way under-qualified with no sense of ownership to their work with what the MSA outlines with the client. The vast majority are off-shore (India). In their latest quarterly results INFY reported good earning however 20% staffing turnover - this should send a clear message something is seriously wrong, It takes time to learn a developer's role and they code they need to develop or fix. There are so many layers of management that it rivals anything Washington, DC could possible create - incredible. Try and figure out who you report to - it is a mess. In my role, I have multiple people demanding status reports and I have no idea who they are at INFY. There are no standardized procedures for tracking progress, it's all by the seat of their pants. AND, reports presented to my client are way off from what I report, and when I report discrepancies they are ignored.
