Pros

good place to gain experience

Cons

On regular intervals Ingram micro ask their clients and oem people about the feedback of local team and ignoring challenges faced by their team they use negative feedback as a base to decide future of the employee. No recognition for hard work. promotions are nothing more than a 5-7% annual pay raise with the same responsibilities Ingram Micro pays to you to give you experience, other companies pay you to use your experience, that is why Ingram Micro is not the best in pay grades Workload makes it tough to balance professional and personal life. Its tough to get work out of most old-timers that were born at Ingram and raised at Ingram. The company is so concern about cutting expenses they basically told the employee to bring in food to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries

Pros

Great environment for younger folks to learn different positions, corporate processes and culture (both good and bad). Don't work in IT or operations - total burn out. Great opportunity to learn and be exposed to market leading vendors. Most good folks leave to join manufacturer partners.

Cons

Unfortunately longer term success and career path has more to do with political relationships and/or being a "yes" person than it does with anything else. There are lots of good people there but if you're not in the club, you're out. Lots of talk about "culture" and "the people" but unfortunately it's just that - talk.

good name with bad practices

Pros

its easy to fake your efforts in the company

Cons

some of the benefits shown at the time of hiring are not even available for employees, its simply a tactic to get good people. Ingram has a straight policy of hiring new people at the same pay for years and kicking current employees expecting appraisal each year (only way to survive is to expect nothing). No fix working hours, their's an unwritten rule of answering mails and phone calls till 10 to 11 in the evening.
