      Pros

      Competitive pay structure, good benefits package, employees are respected and valued. They also encourage community involvement in the cities they operate in. They match donations to charity organizations.

      Cons

      I haven't found many. To answer the claims that it is difficult to advance through the company, you are expected to work towards your goals. I have personally found that having an open discussion with your manager about where you want to be and the honestly acting on your development plan goes a long way. They won't just hand it to you because you've been there longer. You have to put your money where your mouth is.

      Pros

      Pretty good benefits if u need medical and dental. Steady growing business. Pretty stable if u are looking for a long term stay.

      Cons

      Very low pay, promotions are arbitrary and depends on 'budget'. Lots of buearocracy. Department policy changes with every new VP. High turn over. Pressure on every management level to constantly pinch pennies everywhere.

      Cons

      The substantial con to me is the fact that Intact is not slow to cut employees. I agree that this is necessary if an employee is underperforming, however at times it feels like its more of a business decision to get free up your FTE for future business plans. Ultimately you need to get noticed and liked by upper management to feel like you have a secure foothold. In such a large company, that can be a challenge.
