      Cons

      - None really. My current position at Intact is the best job that I have had in the insurance industry over the past 30 years.

      Pros

      Excellent pension plan (Best in the industry) Understanding and flexible managers. Pay is reasonable Updated office Team building events are fun Career Opprotunities are good, if you are GTA. Otherwise you are limited. Overall the people and the benefits are great.

      Cons

      Extreme workload - Myself and other adjusters are over worked. Not enough bodies to handle the # of claims we are getting. This has been an ongoing issue, not a recent one. Micro Managed - There are a lot of processes on how to do everything, and they must be followed. Some is understandable, but this is a bit overkill. Employee Shares - Intact will match 50% of your contributions, but there are a number of restrictions that limit exactly how much they will contribute and it turns into a very small number. Upper Management - Doesn't really feel like they care. More focus and support for UW than claims; it creates an us vs them mentality. Finally, it seems like there is a committee and a spreadsheet for everything. Overall the processes and workload are too much.

      Coworkers Great benefits, stock program which is a great saving tool HR contacts are great, always willing to help you out

      Cons

      Low pay Hard to move around as it seems like roles are already set aside for someone else Not worth it
