Pros

They will tell you they are the best place to work in the world

Cons

Terrible company to work for, filled with toxic masculinity and old guard mentalities. The member from leadership told us on day 2 that we were “under a microscope and I can’t wait to fire you when you fail, I’ve been waiting 20 years to say this” crap leadership and they set you up to fail with ALOT of ways to miss out on commission. CEO is a dude-bro who talked about how he got arrested in Africa for a “funny enough story”.. gross and unprofessional. Also, there are multiple tests to “prove” yourself. Both apparent and covert

Pros

1. Rewarding Hard Work: Intuit is a great place to work if you're fortunate enough to have a manager who values and rewards hard work over popularity contests. 2. Managerial Integrity: My second manager at Intuit displayed not only integrity but also emotional intelligence, which greatly contributes to a positive work environment. Having a manager with these qualities can enhance job satisfaction and overall morale. 3. Knowledgeable Leads: Some of the team leads at Intuit are highly skilled and knowledgeable in their roles, providing valuable guidance and mentorship to their team members. This expertise can help employees grow and develop their own skills. 4. Standard Pay and Good Benefits: The company offers competitive industry-standard pay, which ensures that employees are fairly compensated for their work. Additionally, a good benefits package, while not perfect, is a valuable asset that supports employees' overall well-being. 5. Inclusivity Efforts: Intuit's commitment to being an inclusive company is commendable. They make a genuine effort to promote diversity and create an inclusive workplace, which is an important aspect of modern corporate culture. 6. Yearly Bonus and 401(k) Matching: The yearly bonus and 401(k) matching at 125% are fantastic perks that provide financial incentives for employees to stay committed to the company and plan for their future. 7. Supportive Team: Having an awesome team is crucial to a positive work experience. It's great to hear that you can always find assistance and support from your colleagues when needed.

Cons

1. Managerial Discrepancies: While some managers at Intuit are exemplary, there seems to be a discrepancy in managerial quality. This can be frustrating for employees who may not have the same positive experiences with their managers. 2. Inconsistent Leadership Skills: The inconsistency in leadership skills among team leads can hinder team cohesion and productivity. It's important for leadership to be consistently strong throughout the organization. 3. Room for Improvement in Benefits: While the benefits at Intuit are good, there's room for improvement. For instance, the lack of paid holidays for bookkeepers and the recent introduction of vacation time could be addressed to enhance employee satisfaction. 4. Cultural Challenges: Despite the company's efforts to be inclusive, the influence of societal bias can occasionally create discomfort for some employees. It's important for Intuit to continuously work on eliminating any cultural biases within the workplace. 5. Interruptions Impacting Focus: For neurodivergent individuals like myself, interruptions during hyper-focused work can be particularly disruptive. Finding ways to minimize these interruptions could lead to better overall productivity.

Pros

Steady work from home job

Cons

Terrible now! They added a QA review system which fails all your work when issues are outside your control. Tracking your every move online. Pay is so low I can't make ends meet even though I have an accounting degree that did not matter. You spend half your time tracking documents and checking checkboxes. Look for a good job.
