Pros

No real pros compare to some of the good valley area company. Salary are at the par but other benefits really sucks.

Cons

Layoffs since 2009 every year under name of re-org. Company is loosing it's engineering talent while management is focused just on stock price. Older work force is reluctant to any changes means too much resistance to adopting to new technologies. Other than the cash cow turbotax company has no new product.

A very humane company to work for, but also very, very, slow moving

Pros

Intuit is famously "nice". The people are just so nice, darn it. And they are very respectful of each other. For example, you will rarely hear of a manager berating or demeaning a subordinate. Such a manager would be gone in a heartbeat. Also, the benefits are outstanding. Intuit takes great care of its employees.

Cons

Changing anything at Intuit, anything at all, is an ordeal. You have to convince and align a dozen people to make the smallest change. This is because Intuit is a consensus culture. If you join, you had better plan to spend the first couple of years building an extensive network of personal relationships across Intuit, because you'll need them to get anything, and I mean anything, accomplished.

Pros

Great work/life balance, great comp and benefits, onsite fitness center plus $650 fitness reimbursement, $300 wellness dollars for tracking activity, excellent health, vision, dental, life, great 401K match, 4 days per year for volunteer work, challenging work, exposure to latest methodologies, ability to work with all levels within, ability to work directly with customers

Cons

Frequent reorgs resulting never feeling secure and for an "every man for himself culture", difficult to implement change even with "shared vision", VERY political, pressure to sugar coat in survey situations
