Pros

- good benefits - world-class customer empathy - excellent CEO - chance to work on widely-used products/services

Cons

- power struggles between the CTO organization and business units - a review process that depends more on politics and internal smoozing than actual results

Pros

Two reasons - Brad Smith and Tayloe Stansbury. Both are great leaders with a clear strategy and excellent communicators.

Cons

Intuit needs to come up with new "cash cows" to replace its aging products.

Pros

10% Personal time for innovative projects Lots of training

Cons

Architect role is almost a technical lead and managerial role, particularly in functional teams. Too much plugged into day to day development cycles as a an agile resource. Product development technical innovation is slow. Very little interaction with senior level management.
