Pros

Great insurance benefits - coverage is available for anything and everything that could happen to you. Also affordable. Decent 401k/pension plan. 100%matching up to 5% contributions. Decent amount of PTO as well as paid holidays, sick days, personal days.

Cons

Work-life balance could be better for the pay. Expected to make yourself available at any time but pay does not always reflect the work that is put out.

Pros

My team at least had a friendly and knowledgeable group of people that were willing to help when able and share knowledge. Had good experiences interacting with another team regularly as well. Have a lot of training tools and options that you can utilize on your own time for free. Offer to cover the cost of AWS exams and provide resources to help you get certified.

Cons

Horrible open floor office space, with mandated return to office at least 3 times a week which is actively monitored. Instead of trusting employees to do their best work in the manner that suits them best, the higher ups want to micromanage. They force people to commute into Downtown Chicago to sit and hop on Zoom meetings which could've been done at home. Did not offer any salary increase or bonuses the entire time I worked there, including in the face of huge inflation, effectively leading to a pay-cut.

A big Indian clique in US

Pros

Company tries to take care of employee by good payment and benefits

Cons

Company has been surrounded by Indian managers which has made a big clique of Indian employee. Culture of company has been changed into their culture. If you are not one of those you won't be supported and they try to eliminate you. poor communication, very poor leadership and all the jobs are done in India as a practice board by entry level students there and in US you have been employed to correct their mess. This causes not to learn anything. job description is not match with job and normally you have to work as several roles with one payment.
