Pros

There is a minimum word count for this field, but truly there are no positives to working for Chase.

Cons

- Your entire team will be in India - Your manager(s) will be extremely rude, order givers that don't care one bit about your happiness or personal growth - Endless sea of random deadlines with no rhyme or reason to why - Horrible code base, no desire or time to improve things - Salary is garbage - Benefits are slightly above garbage - Ridiculous time tracking for in-office. Badge in and out, get chewed out if you don't meet 60% of hours a week in the office

Toxic Culture - Chase Bank

Pros

Salary is “ok” Some amazing people, really loved my team. There are some proper gems who are hard working and full of great ideas. Chase is a start up so it’s really exciting. Work on a POD model so you learn loads as each other share experience. Great progression opportunities although… that’s changing and slowing. Some managers are great some are off the wall horrendous. Great stepping stone into JP Morgan for me.

Cons

The culture is toxic, it’s like a dictatorship, an army camp and a real culture of fear. Don’t make a mistake or you will pay! Everyone is out for themselves and it can be really hard to concentrate / settle into your role, which is a shame as there is some great people there. A lot of “support” teams that do little to actually support. Sit about moaning. More money than sense it appears and are happy using that money to keep people quiet. I have heard of sexual abuse, homophobia and discrimination. That’s from the “people” head. Pay outs for people raising complaints and botched HR dealings.

Pros

Paid twice a month with good benefits.

Cons

My LOB is understaffed and there is no sign of increasing the necessary resources to meet the expectations of upper management. I did step up and completed more workload when employees, including my manger left. I saved paid time off for the last two months of the year, but when attempting to take approved time off I was asked to sign on for meeting. Which I will not do. I will see how this affects my end-of-year review. Management is aware of the extreme workload that has been put on multiple LOBs, but hiring is not being completed.
