Pros

Excellent work life balance in IT.

Cons

Poor compensation increases. Only way to get paid is to BEG or leave and come back a year later. They pay people coming in off the street more than those who establish a career there. Strange if you ask me.

Pros

Well, it was once a great company to work for. I guess its only current savings grace is there are still a few very select jobs that pay well. But, you'll have zero life if you work in one of those jobs.

Cons

Benefits are total crap. There is the only once a year 401K matching - that you don't get if you leave the company any time during the year. The health insurance, which covers less and costs more every year I've worked there. Of the few times I've had a vacation, only once was I not required to work during it. Overhead is totally killing productivity. For example: it should not take $10K work of paperwork, meetings and approvals - simply to add $50 bucks worth of hard drive space to a server. There is also the fact that, even though there are numerous Americans in the local job market, whom can't find a job; I can't help noticing that nearly 70% of the staff in my building are Green Card holders. What's up with that?!

Pros

Flexible hours and location. The pros is having a job for a little while. Chase does layoffs at astonishing rates!! Everyone is always on edge waiting for their pink slips to come.

Cons

Chase, is ALWAYS in layoffs mode. Chase, tends to not have a sense of direction, and therefore its employees gets the shaft pretty often. There's always a layoff right around the corner at Chase. It doesn't make for a good working environment when you go to work each day waiting for a pink slip.
