Pros

The Select Site Development department is a really fun group to work with. I have read reviews from others that did not have a positive experience which leads me to believe they must have worked on one of the other development platforms. Also, the SelectSite development group did not have turn over on our Product Owner or Product Quality Analyst role in 2014. Again I'm not sure which group some of the negative reviews are coming from, but the SelectSite team is great place to work. We hired more people for new teams and promoted from within to fill those teams. The managers on the SelectSite platform have been very positive and I do experience good leadership from them. The team members on my four person team are knowledgeable and professional. I look forward to coming to work and enjoy my job. The company has allowed me to progress my skills and salary since I first joined in 2006. I started in customer support, then moved to quality assurance, then to product quality analyst and up to senior product quality analyst. SciQuest has recently built more job tiers for each role in the development department. Statements in other reviews saying that careers are flat do not match with my experience.

Cons

Would like to see the development department invest more in automated unit testing. Would like to see the department change to a newer product for version control. Would like to see more time spent teaching the development framework to new hire developers. It is a very custom framework and the resources available to a new hire for learning the framework on their own are severely lacking. We are depending too much on tribal knowledge and the hope that each team has a developer that is good at mentoring to a new hire.

Pros

I do agree with many of the comments I have read on here. That being said, I have worked in Professional Services, Development and just recently transitioned to Sales. There are many more people that have been here far longer. Every place has problems. Many of our problems were due to recent acquisitions. In my opinion we grew alittle too fast. We are starting to right the ship in many areas. We have many "excellent" employees. That is one of the reasons I have stuck around as long as I have. Free Coffee, Free gym, Good benefits, Nice location, Opportunity for advancement **Not from personal experience** Advice to new employees: Do not fall asleep, or use your phone in the new employee orientation class One other note...If you see SciQuest reserved parking....it is not for you. :)

Cons

The new building is nice but the cubes walls and desks are smaller. The second floor is a cube farm since there is basically 2 huge open spaces with cubes. If I compared desks to islands it basically looks like a "Map of Hawaii" I second the comment about no microwaves on the second floor.
