No leadership. No direction. No clue...

Pros

People are great and the legacy conditions of the workplace from the founders still exist to some extent. Free soday, pinball, March Madness on TVs around the office are still part of the culture. Hockey tickets and other perks are spread across employees. The anualy President's Club trip is first rate.

Cons

CEO has no clue on how to run a business. He made his "bones" in M&A, and the three acquisitions he has made are absolute disasters. Just ask cutomers of those acquired companies. Respect is a dirty word, and even the best people with years of significant and key contributions to SQI's survival are castigated and cast aside publicly for the smallest of infractions. Employment is a revolving door with middle managers having short careers.

Pros

Free soda, pinball machines, casual dress.

Cons

Terrible Management. Antiquated architecture. Claim to be agile but not really. Managers are not concerned with people growth. Sr. management is too wrapped up with obtaining other companies to inflate revenue in order to become a mid cap company. This strategy has caused their core product and new products to suffer greatly in the quality and functionality department.

Good at first, progressively worse after IPO

Pros

Frankly, I wouldn't recommend working there at this point.

Cons

After the IPO management decided to cull higher paid employees, regardless of performance. Micro-management became the rule. Turnover became high, morale dropped, and current employees with whom I'm still friends are trying to get out.
