      Pros

      They pay you money. Soda and coffee in the break room.

      Cons

      Job seekers: please look up the company SciQuest on Glassdoor. This is what the company was called until it changed names a few months ago. The company was acquired last year and things have become so terrible since then. Most positions aren't being backfilled - people are just expected to do other jobs in addition to their own. At least 50% of the people I know are actively looking for jobs. I've never seen morale this low.

      After the latest buyout, I can't think of any.

      Cons

      Before the latest acquisition I would have given SciQuest a solid 3, a pretty decent company to work for. Since the acquisition everything has gone downhill fast. The layoffs have extended past the dead weight and hit some talented employees, I feel bad for the people who are going to be left to pick up the slack. The small amount of excellent reviews left lately are hard to believe that they came from actual current employees, and the responses to negative reviews by the company leave much to be desired.

      Crazy Bad -- Sad Situation

      It was a great place. I loved my boss who was helpful and respectful and really focused on doing great things for SciQuest. She was strong and mentoring and did incredible things for SciQuest. She made us feel like we were a family and a team.

      Cons

      Where to start?! They walked out the entire management team and brought in some very aggressive disrespectful and delusional jerks from out of town. This has created an environment of fear and intimidation. They make promises about flattening the organization but have not followed through. They made promises that things would get back on track but its not true. They are replacing everyone who they fired in marketing with contractors which seems like it should be against the law.

      Change isn’t easy, but it’s a necessary part of the evolution of any organization. SciQuest now has a great team of forward-thinking, innovative technology professionals who are moving our business in a strong, positive direction. Our new executive team has been in place for just about a month, and are making changes that are positioning the company for new growth in a competitive marketplace. The level of productivity has increased across the board, and the company is now less complex, with much more open and clearer lines of communication between departments. Every member of the executive team has an open door policy and encourages candid face-to-face dialogue. We are interested in fostering and developing excellence, from the products through the people, because that’s the real face of SciQuest.
