Pros

Was work from home due to covid

Cons

Communication was non existent No room for progression One of my superiors literally ignored me from the moment I handed my notice in till I left. I asked her multiple important questions only for her to leave me on read. Very childish Was honey-potted from the job description and the interview, very misleading.

Pros

Better than audit, good segway into I-Banking or PE. When industry is slow, you are slow and can learn as long as you are proactive. There is a great opportunity to be in close interaction with CFOs, controllers, etc. of companies and the experience is invaluable.

Cons

Irregular work hours at times and hard to control your personal life as you cannot always stay committed to plans you make in the evenings or weekends, especially when times are busy. In remote environment, people are not shy to ping you constantly when you are away from the computer and the team is busy - as it happens in M&A. There is just limited ability to separate work and life when you have client requests.

Not a good place to work

Pros

You get a Big 4 Tag

Cons

1. Though its a Big 4, you will hardly feel like you are working in a Big 4. Its more bureaucratic than a government department 2. They treat their employees as resources only with no regard for their well being. Someone in the leadership once sent an email asking employees to meet their targets without worrying about COVID 3. They keep on advertising that they are the best workplace, but reality is very different on ground. Partners are rude and would go to any extent to make you feel bad 4. Forget about the work-life balance 5. They do not disclose full facts at the time of hiring. Once you join, they will hand you a list of restricted investments, which you will have to dispose within 5 days of joining. This is a very big list and frequent changes are made to it.
