Pros

Pretty good name on the resume; pay is reasonably good, expense policy is pretty good as well

Cons

Work is repetitive and boring. Regardless of hours worked, 8 hours a day are billed, and partners are not (AFAIK) penalized for understaffing projects and churning through the juniors in order to close deals at a price point that works. Promotion is highly political.

Pros

For the Research Team(at Gurgaon) - Join if you are good at office politics and/or a brown noser - This is a captive unit of the consultancy arm hence you get all the benefits(read: facilities) that consultants get but work is much much less attractive than that done by Consultants - There is only one "the Manager" at the office.. if you have a good impression/relation with him it should be a smooth sailing for you.. But then the research team doesn't offer much to learn hence would effect future prospects

Cons

For the Research Team(at Gurgaon) - Graduates from good institutes have been hired till recently but now hiring from other local colleges like Khalsa has also started - No Set criteria for incentives or Hiring.. If a person sticks to the company for 4-5 years without actually contributing anything he/she is given more opportunities than others.. especially if he/she is a brown noser - The work performed does not really need any competency.. I don't know why they even bother with the interviews especially with the quality of people they hire - Work is generally google and other databases.. post graduates can in some cases make some sense of the project actually been handled by the consultancy but undergrads are clueless and there is not much learning for them

Pros

The Comp is good up to the manager level, where it is then significantly below market-value.

Cons

Where to start? Expect them to layoff 10% of the workforce at mid-year and then blame you for it. If you want sourcing/procurement work this is the place. Partners aren't selling so layoffs and RIFs are the future of A.T. Kearney Terrible work-life balance, Partners care more about the font of the footnote on your page than that you are actually delivering value.
