Pros

Excellent place to obtain clinical laboratory experience. The salary is below most other clinical labs. The management has regressed.

Cons

Not a good establishment to retire, no bonuses or incentives. Insurance coverage could use a major overhaul .

Pros

Benifits, It takes awhile but you can move up within the company (tech, team lead, supervisor, manager), work isn't too demanding. If you are fresh out of school and need a job, they will hire you with little to no experience.

Cons

The pay, the pay, the pay! And there is favoritism. If you are not like or don't kiss butt, you will be black-balled.

Pros

Ritualistic analyses can be satisfying, in a way.

Cons

Management wants M.S.-level employees for work that should be automated. You will be expected to work tirelessly and accurately without recognition and for poor pay (~$16 per hour). Don't expect to be honest or critical and bode well...inspectors employed for certification purposes are actively deceived. In short...every day is a new type of hell... For $16 an hour, without a consistent expectation of when you'll be allowed to leave. Employees throw toilet paper on the ground in the bathroom...and urinate all over the seats. We aren't allowed to have paper towels. ...sexism and racism are rampant. And yes, as a prior reviewer mentioned, employees hesitate to use the restroom for fear of declining productivity. Passive aggression is also a problem; even if it's several hours after the end of your shift, other employees may guilt-trip you for leaving, and, eventually, you'll internalize this and worry about taking earned vacation (and going to the disgusting bathroom). Every employee that I know in my department is constantly applying for another job.
