Pros
They provide vast training and allow you to learn new skills at a comfortable pace. If you are willing to show amazing work ethic and prove you care about the quality of your work, then you can probably get a raise/diff. position either every year or every other year. So, patience friend.
Cons
It is a very lonely day every day. There is no collaboration. As a Program Specialist you are supposed to stay in your seat, follow your schedule and that’s it. There is no team work and not many opportunities for being part of project based work.
