Pros

Good pay, PTO available first day of employment. Free use of on-site gym, relationships with coworkers, casual attire

Cons

Managers are unqualified, but this may depend on the program you are on. The managers on my program were cold, insensitive micro-managers who literally had their eye on your every movement. Favorites is played alot, and it is highly noticeable. Managers lack empathy. Any time you are up from your seat, you are to put yourself into "personal time", which can count against you. This goes for restroom use and simply getting up to get a drink of water. The restroom is outside of the company suite, and you have to badge in and out, so they always know when you leave the suite. You are expected not to verbally converse with or go to other coworkers cubicles. You are told to do this on your break or lunch, but breaks and lunches are scheduled differently. You can communicate via instant messenger but this is also discouraged and they can read your conversations. The location is terrible, as it lies in the heart of the traffic area of the city. If you work before 9am, get ready for a 1 hour commute (both ways). There is only one cafe on-site, which gets boring. Unless you take an hour lunch, you have no time to go get other food, as the site is a couple miles away from the nearest restaurant. Coworkers are normally cool, but just like any other place, there are snakes. You are literally treated as just a head. Its a glorified sweat shop.

Pros

This place is definitely good to gain experience, there is a nice cafe downstairs that employees can get a discount at (otherwise expensive) and the building/location itself is very nice. Also there is a nice gym on site that the employees are able to use for free (if you are employeed with Covance, not a temp). I plan to stay here a little longer to get more experience, see if I can switch programs, and if not move on with a place I can make a career out of.

Cons

Even thought the building is very nice the suite itself looks run down, and the computer systems that they use are extremely slow for the workload. They over work you, big time. If you really care about being productive and doing quality work you will get burnt out picking up all the extra slack. My program sucks, and most people in my program don't like their job, so from what I've heard from other employees they like what they do if you're lucky enough to get put in a good program, and good luck when asking to switch. If you are employeed with Covance or are a direct hire you're able to park in the parking lot, aside for that temps have a lot of trouble finding street parking so that is an issue, pto is good but benefits are crazy expensive. I feel like they really squeeze people into every corner, I have my own cubical but a lot of people are on folding tables as desks. High turn around, constantly people getting hired, fired and quitting. I have worked here for over a year and they still won't give me a time frame on when I will be having my annual review for a raise.

Pros

The pay. As an entry level position with no minimum qualifications besides breathing, it pays well. Ample PTO, when they 'authorize' it. Good place to learn basic skills: data entry, customer service, multi tasking.

Cons

The "team". Because this place hires mostly temps, the people you are working with have basically zero work ethic. Managment wont fire people who are clearly not fit for the job until they dont show up enough times. If you are a person who has work ethic, integrity and a fully functiining brain you will go crazy here. Most of the temps come in to collect a paycheck and countdown till lunch/ end of shift. Rude, childish and lazy behavior is standard here. As much as you try to do your best, there are 10 others who are doing the bare minimum making your job harder and more stressful. The turnover rate is insane and sometimes that can be good to weed out the duds. Management breathes doen your neck like youre back in elementary school and ita fitting because most of the time youre left working with bratty children. I cant stress enough how hard it is to do a good job when youre surrounded by people who should be working in fast food or retail.
