Pros

Decent structure in regards to continuing education in the workplace along with annual reviews. Corporate benefits as far as 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, and healthcare are good as long as you can stand the work.

Cons

Management doesn't seem to discipline anyone with seniority for calling off or taking off early without any notice. This would often stick the rest of the staff with a bunch of work late in the shift. The lab was chronically understaffed the whole time I was there, so when 1 person called off that was a huge shift in the amount of work in the limited time. I took a pay cut just to get out of the toxic environment.

Pros

It is extremely difficult to come up with enough pros to meet the minimum word count. The benefits are decent. Job stability is excellent. Its a fairly large employer with a stable stock price and a good retirement plan.

Cons

Poor management, low wages, apathetic employees and first level supervisors, and manufacturing-type environment where quantity is emphasized over quality. Little to no efforts made at employee engagement, HR is like the wizard in the the Wizard of Oz...never seen
