Pros

Supportive team members and seamless process, a lot to learn

Cons

Poor hiring of managers with zero or minimal knowledge of basic skills and doesn’t understand the process and micromanagement and favoritism at its peak. People pleasing and not asking questions please the management. Intelligent brains intimidate them

Pros

Have the lab to myself. Learning a lot every day. Not near the stress of a hospital.

Cons

No one here to help. No one to ask here. Manager and supervisor live in different states, from me, and from each other. Was hired, then 3 staff quit 1st month, and I am truly on my own doing everything, but being asked to do so much each day. I wasn't trained on instruments like regular new hires, but read manuals, and not trained on LIS much than basics. It has been a huge challenge from day 1 ... and people are happy with all I have done

Pros

Small warehouse, when manager was out there was no micromanagement. Sometimes there's nothing to do but the manager would flip out when there was nothing to do. People that want a simple job though, it's great, but super boring after you learn everything, and there is zero room for growth. Great temporary job!

Cons

Manager is sexist despite being a woman, favors male employees. Thinks they are needed reference when people find jobs regardless, so will make you feel bad for a situation that she does not have power over. Very petty, doesn't listen to issues that are brought up while thinking they are right all the time. They know some are getting paid less than everyone, then illegally tries to tell people it is illegal to discuss wages, when it is not. Supervisor always had alcohol on his breath, but was praised and protected. Bonus checks also vanished suddenly after a year working there, but upper management still gets bonuses. Manager micromanaged everything, didn't like that we took our breaks at the same time when we were happy with it and forced us to split it up. Super condescending when people at entry level jobs are more educated than she thinks. No opportunity for growth whatsoever.

Pros

Some of the study coordinators and study directors are friendly and helpful

Cons

The salary is very poor compared to other companies, the training was poor and inconsistent and the manager treated their staff like vermin. It was a truly awful experience

Pros

A few coworkers are supportive, and the role itself can be meaningful when it’s focused on patient care

Cons

Pay is poor for the amount of work expected, and staffing is inadequate, leaving employees overworked and burnt out. Management creates a toxic environment with favoritism, bullying, and dishonesty. Certain managers in particular foster hostility instead of teamwork, and it makes the workplace stressful and unhealthy. Communication is almost nonexistent, and concerns are dismissed rather than addressed.
