Pros

Supervisors are flexible if something comes up and you need to change your schedule around Job security Diverse workplace

Cons

Below average pay Constant mandatory overtime so work life balance is nonexistent Understaffed Poor training process Poor management Upper management does not care about the technologists working in the lab Extremely repetitive boring work You will constantly be in pain if you work in the lab because they do not care about ergonomics Extreme burnout is common Takes MONTHS for raises and promotions to be processed Supervisors play favorites with employees and put a majority of the workload on just a couple of people Takes 5+ years to even be eligible for a team lead position Yearly raises are next to nothing Benefits are below average, especially for a healthcare company Upper management is only concerned about numbers rather than employees and patients. They are extremely disconnected from what it’s like working in the lab Extremely high turnover

Pros

Lovely people to work with.

Cons

Total lack of investment in not only staff but also site. Makes you feel like there is no point being there. Outdated labs and offices (no heating or air con - so always uncomfortable working conditions), lack of training (no plan to training at all), many months spent when you first staff not knowing what to do - given no direction. Constant addition of more and more responsibilities without any additional incentives (pay, promotions, they wont even pay for a Christmas meal and bonuses are reserved for senior staff only ). They wont even replace staff that have left the company (leaving the rest of the staff with even more workload). Senior management talk down to you and dont listen to your opinions or suggestions insisting that they know best. Terrible organisation (absolute lack of coordination between senior management and laboratory staff. Pay way below competitors, especially for Cambridge. Senior staff lie to you and tell you want you want to hear without any action actually being taken, you feel underappreciated and just like a number - depressing place to work.

Pros

Willingness to hear concerns Flexibility Paid Phlebotomy Training Program Good benefits

Cons

Onboarding is/was a nightmare There was virtually nonexistent communication from HR and managers for the first few weeks; *I* had to reach out to *them* continually and felt like I was an inconvenience Minimum wage (I have 3 years prior experience with one of the largest pharma companies in the world, as well as over 5 years direct patient experience) Almost a month in, I still have not been assigned a location; feels so disorganized for such a large corporation

Pros

Good name to start your career, but not a long time place to stay/survive So many great International colleagues (if you can find a time to sociliaze) Good CRA training If you are lucky, exiciting projects Flexible working hours

Cons

High turnover; there is not even an opportunity to do hand-overs. Too many projects given to single employee. As a result of bad resourcing (bad management) bad work life balance. No budget for social events, no team building. Nothing. Very limited benefits.

Pros

Remote work is permitted, hours are flexible

Cons

I would not recommend working here as a GSM. While the salary seems great, you will likely work well over 40 hours a week. Manager was kind, but not supportive. Training program does not set you up for success within the actual position. Not a lot of support in terms of mentorship or shadowing. Depending on your clients, the position can be difficult.

Pros

LabCorp has a lot of personal growth opportunities. I see outstanding growth with leadership and leadership training.

Cons

Entry level pay needs to be re-evaluated in many of their locations as many companies are doing so since the pandemic.

Some fab people to work with, some people have been here a very long time, pay rises every year if meeting requirements. Good training opportunities if you require

Cons

Having to deal with activists, lots of responsibility for the low pay grade, you need to be in managers good books.
