      Pros

      a good leading edge techology company. Quick response for customer demand. Good business management in business / engineering alignment in different region/ cultures.

      Cons

      Local career development is very limited and seems no solution. people work at region might not really feel to be a member of Lam employee. Benefit package is good in HQ but not very good in region.

      Pros

      good stable market share, etch leader in certain technologies. As an intern I found my work was low in the priority list. Too much time wasted waiting for tools.

      Lam is a tremendous learning ground, but depending on location, difficult to move up

      Pros

      Salary was ver competitive. Company knows operations and how to manage business ops, financials, technology and maximizing shareholder value. Workload was sometimes too much as the company operates very lean. This is good for the company, but tough on the individual. Senior management is very good. Middle management and field management is sometimes suspect, incapable, and in some cases, not customer friendly. Lots of spreadsheet pushers, and few hands-on field people. Good overall company to work for, but if you are a customer friendly individual, get ready to have your hands full, and lots of "chiefs" telling you what "the boss wants".

      Cons

      Lots of hours, especially taking care of the customer. Lots of "managers" with fewer and fewer field folks really able to understand, communciate and handle customers and their issues. Sales force has been decimated and replaced with lots of propeller heads. If you are technical, you are still probably at Lam. If you are a relationship type of individual, the company sometimes (a lot) feels this type of employee is expendable. Could have tough consequences for market share in the future.
