Pros
Good pay, however the hours you work are extremely excessive.
Cons
I worked for Lidl for two years after working in the retail industry for over 10 years. I can honestly say it was the worst experience of my Career. You work 50+ hours and are expected to stay as and when needed. Yet cannot take the hours back when it suits you. Is on Lidl’s terms. I was a salaried manager and on 3 occasions I was paid incorrectly when I was meant to receive the exact same amount each month. This Wasn’t rectified by senior management. They have a training scheme which is mostly done in the regional distribution centre. After a course you are meant to spend time in store going over what you have learnt. However store managers seem to use the extra hours to benefit the store and the time they can sit in the office. Training does not get done and when issues are raised with senior management, they brush it under the carpet. I had made a formal complaint regarding homophobic comments made by other managers towards myself and nobody took it seriously.
