Best paying retail job. I have been here 3 years and earn 14.90 minimum per hour often more for unsociable hours and Sundays pay time and a half. Work is not overly difficult, its just fast paced and you are always busy. Often working with a team so it can be quite social and speaking with the public. Bonuses are decent

Cons

Lidl is a hierarchy of managers and bosses given out to one another and expecting a lot to be done but not enough staff to do it. Some staff work harder than others and the more you do the more is expected of you while some others just don't bother and get away with it. Very Unsocial hours and long spells sitting on tills.

-apparently pay rate, is the highest in the industry but I am not so sure about it.

- very confusing payslip system, - unprofessional management - seems like no one cares about anything in this company, - forget for quick resolution of any issues you may have during your employment

Bad unethical higher management. Everyone paranoid of doing anything wrong. Need to watch your back as we are encouraged and also receive documented “discussions” with staff over ridiculous incidents. People being false to each other to keep out of trouble. Friendly with Area Managers = Left alone
