Pros

Good marketing strategy and image, but as an employee i saw no other pros.

Cons

- if you are hired on this position and you have not been working in lidl previously they tell you that you will have 6 months of training to learn everything your subordinates do. This is a lie , because they will put you to work in the stores were they hAve employees deficiency and expect you to do thr work fast (put the merchandise on the shelf or unload the cargo pallets, casier work) , even if you are not a cashier/commercial worker and you have not been hired for this. -long work hours of work and in management positions you are not paid for extra hours and you do not get extra free day either . You will work at least 10 hours a dAy. If you include your lunch break that you never have time to take fully , you'll spend 11 hours a dAy in the store doing comercial worker/cashier duties even when you should learn store managers activities. - they do not hire enough people in order to achieve targets. So the employees most work extra hours. These extrahours are not paid , so employees receive extra days off, so you have again more personnel deficit and extra hours for the employees that are at work and this cycle never ends ... -Above all, store's location is uncertain, changes at 2 months and these locations are not in your city, so you are brain washed, taken far away from your family and friends to be totaly commitet to this job. -Most of the manegers are very poor prepared and people are very bad and gossip a lot in order to get a promotion . Personal and professional growth is not on their list!! Sadly!! They eat each other alive! this happens due to the fact that Lidl recruts from extern only on cashiers positions and sometimes area sale manager posiotions , most of them are promoted internely, if you come fron extern they will eat you alive also. - usually the so called "learning process " that You were told that last 6 month extends to 1,5 year.
