Pros

Autonomy within role. Remote/Hybrid Flexibility. Decent Benefits. Decent Pay (depending on the role). Company car (depending on the role). In my 4 years with the organization I can say I personally recruited some of the best talent I’ve seen.

Cons

Inconsistent compensation structure. Very limited to non existent performance based incentives. Total rewards… far from it. Internationally bound structure/framework which creates significant hurdles and delays in operations and IT. European leadership very intolerant of acclimating and understanding the US employee. Biases at interview stage are real. Very cliquish environment. Lack of respect for employee relations therefor enabling retaliation.

Pros

- Colleagues from all over the world and all levels of society, most of whom are nice - More flexible working arrangements than most companies of a comparable size - Subsidised food delivery service saves time - Occasional company engagement events which create opportunities to meet new people - Good maternity benefits and accommodation for new mothers (not much for fathers, unfortunately)

Cons

- The head office and all senior management have relocated to Singapore leading to the feeling of increased power distance - The company feels like two separate companies (HG and TX) who have incompletely merged - no overall leadership or strategy leading to middle and senior management pulling in different directions - The HR department have had multiple rounds of complete turnover, leading to inconsistent policies and an unclear performance review process - Annual below-inflation pay rises. Because of the unclear performance process, the only way to match or beat inflation is to go through a bureaucratic out-of-cycle process or sacrifice other team members' pay rises entirely - 10+ hour workdays have become the norm due to high attrition - Invisible C level leadership

Pros

There is free lunch once a month.

Cons

No work life balance. Directors and executives are known for screaming at employees and Employee Relations does not take any claim seriously. There is no formal training and policies change quickly without any notice or instruction but you are required to still do the job. It is VERY common to see someone crying at their desk because of stress. Managers do not give fair reviews. NOT a safe space for black people and people of color. They treat warehouse employees unfairly and make it so that there are little to no black employees in high positions even though they are qualified. Getting a promotion takes on average 4 years if you are in an entry level position. Admins are forced to do the job of higher roles with no pay bump. The CEO quit because there was no work life balance. They’ve been sued in other countries for inhumane work conditions.
