Pros

Good salary, flexible working, good colleagues

Cons

If you're not German or European you are will never climb. Make you feel replaceable.

Pros

Lidl pays well and has good benefits, and allows fully remote for any position that can be done remotely.

Cons

As of 2023 Lidl is no longer treating employees well IMO. There was a mass layoff in Feb 2023, 30% of the staff at headquarters, and there's been people regularly disappearing since then. The training was always iffy, but until 2023, as long as you were following the process as you'd been trained, it wasn't held against you if you hadn't been trained on something and therefore weren't doing it. They brought in a hatchet man who is firing people, even tho he doesn't understand the processes the actual employees do. He asks for feedback but then ignores it and if you give critical feedback or point out problems or mistakes he made because he doesn't understand a process, he holds it against you. He only likes the people who smile to his face and say nice things and agree with him.

Pros

None. Chill stay at home job while you figure out your next step. Do not take this job seriously if you are an admin…there are tons of other jobs in the market that will treat you better.

Cons

If you want to kill yourself for a job and be gaslit by all means join us. You'll hear "you're invaluable", "here's more work to add to your already overloaded plate", "since you haven't perfected the last increase of work load we can't increase compensation, yet" You'll be in so many meetings that could, and should, be emails; or have no point at all. You'll get shifted sideways, with no advancement. Too much responsibility for the ever changing job description (if they give you one, been in the "new position" for 6 months and no job description) with no compensation adjustment for additional work. You get voluntold you're moving teams/jobs. You get no say. If you have a disability and ask for accommodations they will do the bare minimum. "Just stop having these kind of attacks" was my favorite line I got from the HR accomodation team. Other teams aren't as bad, I hear. But the turn over makes me question that.
