Pros

Great benefits (15 days off, 4 floating holidays, 7 sick days, 401k with company match, great health care) Great co-workers Good line manager Opportunity to grow Promotions if you work hard Lidl is for you if you want to grow and are looking for a great opportunity and you are not afraid to put a lot of work into your career. The company will give you endless opportunities, it is up to you if you take them. The attire at work has changed to casual business attire, yay jeans :) Everyone is very friendly as long as you are friendly too. Depending on the department the communication and also the help you receive from people is very good.

Cons

Currently longer hours due to the expansion. I normally work between 45 to 50 hours. When you are on salary you do not get paid overtime, hence the reason why you get a salary... when you are paid hourly you do get paid overtime. A lot of last minute request due to the very fast paced environment and because everything is getting finalized for store openings.

Pros

There is nothing good about this company. Please avoid or you will kill yourself.

Cons

Long hours, no breaks, depressing work environment, heavy lifting even for women, understaffed, rude colleagues and managers, bullying, no health and safety at work, no social life and the lists goes on. Got back pain in few weeks. You have to work like a donkey. One person has to do 3 peoples job. We should be getting £1000/hr for the amount of mental and physical tourture that we have to go through. Work place is very unorganised. Rota keeps changing and they will call you every single day even on your holiday. Early shift starts at 4-5 am and if you do a closing shift then it's like 2/3 or even 4 in the morning. They don't care about their employees that is why they have so much staff turnover and even the company doesn't accept Union. So please avoid the company if you don't want to go to depression. This job should be the last option.

Pros

Great benefits, competitive salary and substantial vacation time.

Cons

Long hours at times, but that comes with working for a company that is in the middle of an expansion. period
