Pros
Stock & salary are not bad.
Cons
I worked on the editorial team and the work culture was appalling, deeply toxic, and everyone knew it. What made it worse is that at regular meetings we would be told that the best think about working at LinkedIn was the work culture and how it was absolutely not toxic. It came right from the top, and trickled down through managers of all levels. And boy, were there a lot of levels. What made this worse is that at regular meetings we would be told that one of the best things about working at LinkedIn was that it had a horizontal structure and that there were no managers. If you are looking for a job where you absolutely obey your managers and show no initiative and take home a decent pay check each month, then fine, fill your boots. But, honestly, for me it was wasn't sustainable. I was so miserable that I walked away from tens of thousands of dollars of Microsoft stock just to get out of there.
