Pros

Food is with high standard and it's free. 401k has good match rate. Have 2 company shutdown in a year (July 4th and Christmas)

Cons

Sinking ship. The member engagement growth doesn't look good. Haven't made breakthrough product in many years. Also, the company is moving more and more teams to India to save cost. Layoff becomes a routine since 2023 Oct

Pros

good benefits. wlb is ok. Sorry there aren't any more pros. I wish there were.

Cons

PM's are out to lunch and have no idea on what they are doing, solutionism at its finest. IC's do a lot of the heavy lifting, senior management have never once taken any accountability during my time here. I feel I have regressed as an engineer during my time. Engineers are stack ranked using PR stats. In the day and age of Gen AI that is especially frustrating.

Pros

Nice office environment Decent pay + MSFT Stock + benefits

Cons

Your experience at LinkedIn will be dictated by your org and team environment. Your job satisfaction will depend on your manager. There is little chance of meaningful progression. You will need to move to another role internally (hard to do because lots of others want to do the same), or leave to find growth elsewhere. Slow migrating to new systems e.g. SFDC to Dynamics taking years, bad implementation of Gainsight, and a plethora of ad-hoc dashboards to navigate. Lots of time spent on operational admin. Constant threat of layoffs or receiving a low review leading to a PiP (or Return to Success plan in LinkedIn speak). You will be made to feel very replaceable here.
