It used to have great perks, Microsoft RSUs, and great engineers to work with.

Cons

Tech is outdated on most platforms, makes your skills redundant in the current job market, Culture has changed drastically since the pandemic, and constant reorgs led to a loss of opportunities for everyone. Still, senior leadership has no accountability for the constant shutting down of good business ideas and products. ICs are sacrificed in the process. The product partners usually come up with unoriginal ideas that mostly don't work out, and they leave the company to avoid the aftermath. Platform teams are good, smart people, and cool tech to build, except for some toxic management.

No raises or RSU refreshers for most in the last year (even for RSU cliffs), remote-work support eroding toward RTO, constantly changing priorities, clueless leadership.
