Large Defense Contractor with many opportunities

Industry leader with resources to solve complex problems for national security. Exciting contracts that can't be worked in the commercial industry. One of the best Young Minds At Work programs being able to excite kids towards math and science by introducing them to latest technology in a fun way: 3D printers, Oculus Rift VR, watching satellite's being built in clean room, viewing Orion capsule, water rockets, Lego Mindstorm Mars rover, introduction to program management, etc.
Cons
Average pay with dwindling benefits compared to smaller government contractors and commercial industry. Similar pay to other large government contractors. HR blocks those eligible for higher compensations solely on lack of years of experience rather than evaluation on performance among peers. There are exceptions to this but it takes a great manager.
