Pros

Great Benefits (8% match 401k) Tons of different divisions and departments with a variety of projects Competitive Salary (they constantly adjust your salary to compete with national software engineer average salaries)

Cons

Huge company, so there's always a chance you get a bad manager or project, or you end up feeling like a small cog in a big machine. If you advocate for yourself though you should be okay.

It’s ok

Pros

Eh, it wasn’t the worst job I’ve had. Not the best; I would go back. The managers are nice, coworkers are also nice, the contracts are ok. There was a Union, which is odd; it was nice but made me question how bad it was for this union to even become a thing.

Cons

Lowest raises of my life and my work-life balance got wacky (no one works the same shifts/hours)

Too Many Meetings

Pros

The 4 day work week is great.

Cons

Managers are too busy going to meetings to actually manage and mentor their employees.

Pros

Good 401k, good tuition reimbursement

Cons

Lockheed martin used to be a great company to work for. However, when I joined, I was promised a moon by my manager. Currently, little under a year, I am been moved around 7 mangers, yes 7. In my entire IT career, including working in India, Singapore and United States, Lockheed has been the worst experience in my life so far. They work in old, redundant technology, lazy people, have to report to office even tough you don't have to go to work. All crap, piece of joke. I wished people were better upfront with me when I joined.

Pros

Many areas to switch between groups to build your skill set. You are able to find different flavors of things to do before, however this location has lost a lot of work and funding in the past 10 years. Flexible schedule to work a 9/10, 9 days on and 1 day off every 2 weeks. Really good people I've met over the years who I have remained good friends with.

Cons

The pay scale here is lower than other places and it is hard to get what you want or rewarded for your hard work. The managers here are hit and miss. Mostly miss who only care for themselves and leave their employees out to dry and its an old boy's club. I would say about 2/10 managers I have had were really good and would go to bat for you while the rest are only looking to move up for themselves. Examples of bad management would be if you leave their group during evaluation they would give you a 0% raise since you left, and when cutting funding even if you did most of the work, they keep some of those who would stroke their egos and would do anything to appease the manager. The managers here definitely need more management classes to learn to treat people fairly.

Pros

Great people, benefits and compensation.

Cons

Hard to get promoted, seems that hiring managers already know who they are going to hire before they actually interview.
