Pros

Overall I had great career progression, training and development opportunities, and worked with good coworkers. The programs are way cooler than anything else you’ll build in other industries.

Cons

Working with the windows operating system and many other legacy systems that are clunky and sometimes incompatible with each other. Heavy documentation and process emphasis means things can be slow. Change is hard, and there are lots of missed opportunities for improvement because budget only exists to fix things that are hopelessly broken.

Pros

- Fantastic management, coworkers. - Everyone was eager to mentor each other, and talk about what they love - I always learned something new - Access to amazing tech from other divisions and projects, unique experiences with no limitation - They push you hard into leadership experiences, I often talked face to face with directors, project managers, and felt I was a peer to amazing stakeholders - The individuals hired were often either experts in their field, or individuals with amazing personalities that invigorated me to work in my role - Was part of incredibly diverse and exciting projects

Cons

- Processes were, slow, reluctant for change for some parts - Nothing was set up when I arrived, not even a computer. No training, introductions, for my role. Very much felt like I was constantly floating. - My location lacked diversity, there was no one my age, race, or gender in the same job position, it felt lonely and intimidating at times. - There was a lack of structure on where to go for direct responsibilities, but it's easy to stay busy.

Pros

Challenging, thorough training. Good instructors and staff. Competitive pay for an entry level, OJT role.

Cons

For the technical work, skill required and importance of the work, the compensation could be better.

Pros

Management recently has changed so hopefully favoritism is no longer an issue.

Cons

Favoritism, Do as i say, not as i do mentality. Lack of forecasting potential issues even though the same issues arise time and time again for years. HR Lack of communication, knowledge and transparency when questions are brought up and questions need to be answered. Lack of Professionalism, Office and "down range" are ran like they are still in the military a which trickles down to their management style and lack of training when issues arise. Honestly that whole management need to be replaced in order for better efficiency.
