Pros

Lots of time off, good balance of life versus work. Offers different ways to take time off, not much pressure from management when it comes time to take time off.

Cons

Slow pace, lots of documentation and extensive processes. A lot of mandatory training and indifferent formal reviews and what not.

Pros

Good benefits, good ethics and policies, and competitive company. Overall supportive management and good talented employees. Nice perk of discounts for employees with many different companies, health club membership, etc.

Cons

Found it harder in the economic downturn to get additional training funds that I desired to help me grow professionally and advance to other positions in the company. As with many bigger companies, the HR functions, IT and your reporting management may not be local and may be more difficult or time consuming to get appropriate answers and assistance when needed.

Pros

Pros include competitive salary, outstanding work/life balance, very flexible scheduling options, exposure to many different technologies and tons of opportunity to expand skill set.

Cons

Benefits options and costs are horrendous. When I started with the company about a decade ago the benefits were competitive and have since dropped off a cliff. I'm on my wife's benefit plans. LM does not spend enough on training for employees compared to other defense contractor competitors. Depending on the program/customer the work may seem slow and overly process driven.

Pros

Competitive salary, benefits and retirement, many locations around the country, development programs for career advancement

Cons

Experiences can vary greatly from program to program, training and development opportunities have been limited in the past few years, can be difficult to get recognition if you aren't on the "right" program, advancement can be slow unless you have a senior or executive level employee giving you recommendations.

Pros

Industry leader, strong on values such as integrity and diversity. Good pay and benefits. Good flow of information from the top. Good job security. Good educational and training assistance. Very good internal technical training materials.

Cons

HR Interview process for managers is mostly behavioral and by the book. I think it should be more balanced with your skills and experience.
