Pros

The people you work with and the diversity of a retail job.

Cons

Lack of vacation time. Retail business hours, workinging on Holidays and rotating shifts. Currently, you must work at lowes for five years in order to get two weeks of vacation. this is rediculous. Also, there is no company funded retirement program at all. No vesting, no nothing. High turnover in employees.

Pros

Steady, Bid employer benefits. Pay is always decent for salaried workings. Most people you work with are happy. Good health benefits as well as 401k and stock matching programs.

Cons

Retail hours, especially for salaried individuals. Chinese overtime - more you work less make per hour. Help with scheduling to allow employees to obtain a better work/ life balance. Cross training should be more prevalent and no one should not be able to provide a minimal level of help to someone.
