Pros

full-time available employment.benefits.able to join management training program.friendly atmosphere. .good pay. 401k eligable.flexible spending account available to help with medical costs.

Cons

air quality not the best(dust, surfaces not always clean)they should have a cleaning crew for accumulating dust on high stocked product.open availability is a must to be hired which is 1 hr before and after store hours. each week you dont have any specific shift you can count on.schedule is different every day every week.some employees tend to be gossipy about others which i feel is not professional.standing on concrete floors 9 hrs. a day are is very hard on your feet .registers need better mats for foot/leg support.

Pros

Lowe's is a good place to work if you like a rather structured atmosphere. Some of the corporate policies could be questioned, but this is true with any large company. Often employees are promoted from within the company to higher positions, and they have very strong training programs. I started out as low as you could be and within two years I was a Team Leader and knocking on the door of being a Department Manager.

Cons

The biggest reason to avoid working at Lowe's is their lack of communication. Upper management does a very poor job of talking with their employees and really explaining what needs to be done. There are also managers that get promoted that have no business being in the position they're in. Little recognition is given to the employees that work underneath them and in many cases save them from losing their jobs.
