Pros

I honestly love working at Facebook.

Cons

Sometimes I've seen people fail who need a lot of direction, it's almost autonomous to a fault.

Pros

Scale of problems we get to solve, working with the smartest folks on the planet, cross-functional projects, working in a strengths-based organization (do what you're good at, and what makes you thrive!), huge believer and DOER when it comes to Diversity--Facebook is actually doing meaningful things behind what we say, benefits, work-life balance, leadership training,...the list goes on and on. It's one of a kind.

Cons

Brand recognition sometimes gets in the way of all the good we're doing. We have to move past the noise and see the greater/bigger picture. The media likes to sensationalize things, and that's not always easy to read/see. At the end of the day, FB is doing good. I strongly believe this.

Thank you for your review. We're working to build a different kind of company and that means successfully delivering and being true to all the areas you mentioned (strength-based values, diversity, teamwork). In the coming decades, we believe Facebook will connect people and share experiences in ways we have yet to imagine. Our employee community has always been built on openness and trust and we have a deep sense of responsibility, care, respect and gratitude toward each other and the global community we serve. As you highlighted, we genuinely care about the people we serve, and are working hard to make sure we continually improve.

Pros

if you look back in history you will not find a moment of such changes as the one we are living right now. The digital phenomenon is still expanding rapidly, creating a world more open and connected. Right now, Facebook is the main company driving that mission, giving power to the people to create a more open and connected world. Being able to add value in a company that is consciously pushing that goal is really satisfying. you end each day knowing that you are doing your best for a good cause and that the journey is just getting started.

Cons

the main challenge is to adapt yourself to work in a really big structure and knowing that is growing more and more. It tends to be difficult to reach the exact person that you are looking for at the right time.
