      Run Away From the "Product Support Team"

      Pros

      The only shining beacon are the product and engineering team, with smart people and great leaders. The top company leadership is very inspiring. Be very careful of which team and organization you join. For this team- the pros would be NONE. This team is laden with middle managers making decisions based on perception and favoritism. Lot of politics and inadequacies of the managers. Inexperienced managers seem rudderless, no direction only talk. My rating here is only for the Product Support Team, under the Sales Planning and Operations org, and does not reflect the overall company culture and ethos.

      Cons

      The saying is very true - "You don't leave a company, you leave a manager and a team" - They upsell you on what the job is. It is pretty awful in its job scope and can be considered amongst the lowest importance / status in the company. - The team is a team of middle managers who lack the drive, connection and leadership to keep the teams motivated. Some of the managers are very inexperienced and only seem to be there by managing upwards and buttering their bosses. - If you ever think of joining this team as a stepping stone within Facebook - DON'T. The reputation and status of this team is really poor in the organization. Hard for you to move to other teams too. - Managers are all talk no action. They are not there to support you and play favorites. They will act as though they listen to you, check a box for their "initiative" for listening to you and never take action. Some specific managers are there for their own selfish reasons.

      Pros

      My manager and team are phenomenal. Everyone I have gotten to work is brilliant, respectful, courteous, helpful and fun to be around. The mission at Facebook is motivating and speaks the truth about the culture.

      Cons

      This company is very fast-paced. If you are not willing to put in the work and time, you will fall behind. You need to be self-sufficient to be successful here.
