Pros

Benefits, culture, fun, good mamagement, slow career

Cons

they over hire then they let people go, they put you on a blacklist and will not hire you back for 18 months but then they reach out to you via contractor companies and they offer way less (50% less than what you were making as FTE, they promise to do contract-hire but after contract expires they don't renew)

Pros

Competitive Pay: Compensation is consistently strong compared to industry standards. Solid Benefits: While not as generous as in the past, benefits remain very good overall. Exciting Projects: Employees get to work on large-scale, impactful, and often fun projects that shape the tech industry. Established Reputation: Microsoft is a long-standing, globally recognized company with stability and influence. Strong Stock Performance: Company stock is highly valued and continues to be a major financial perk.

Cons

Leadership Promotions: Many employees feel that the wrong people are promoted into leadership roles. Mixed Leadership Culture: Executives often say one thing but expect employees to continue working in the same old, sometimes toxic, Microsoft way. Stack Ranking: The controversial stack ranking system still exists, creating unhealthy competition. Opaque Review Process: Performance reviews lack transparency, and often the wrong individuals receive the best ratings.
